I have been looking forward to the release of the Schwinn 431 Elliptical Trainer, and it was well worth the wait. I have been using my buddies Schwinn 430 for quite some time and was ready to purchase one, when I read that they were getting ready to come out with an upgraded version of what was already a great trainer. I was not disappointed in my choice as I got all of the features that I absolutely loved on the 430 and much more!

I was obviously pleasantly surprised to see that the quality of features on the machine were not only kept it tact on the newer version but also improved upon. 19 workout programs already in the machine consisting of 10 profiles, 3 heart rate programs, fitness test, 2 custom programs and a calorie goal. What more could you possibly want or need from a trainer at this level? Well, whether you want it or not, you get more including 3 feedback programs. This is programming that you would expect on a machine costing twice as much yet we get it here for less than $1,000!
I’m not sure about you but I have purchased products like this before only to have them break down and then find out that they had no or a limited warranty. Schwinn being Schwinn, they stand behind their product and this is the best I have seen at this price point. 15 years on the frame, 2 years on the parts and 1 year on the electronics, that is about as solid as you are going to see.
In addition to all of the standard features, the 431 has plenty of bonuses in store for you. Cup holder, MP3 holder and towel hook. How often have you been working out and needed one of these items only to have to dismount the machine and in interrupt your workout to get them as they were just out of reach.
Not to worry here, they have already accounted for them and made sure that they are in place where you need them to be. Another great benefit is the fan sitting atop the monitor. I am used to having to move things around to make myself comfortable when working out but again, not a problem on the 431. The fan does an ample job of keeping me cool during my sessions.
Speaking of the monitor, WOW. This baby gets my all the information I can handle. Speed, calories, resistance, time, RPM’s, watts, distance, pulse and intervals, how much more do you need? The Schwinn 431 Elliptical Trainer is a product that you will not be disappointed with, quite the opposite. You will be just as thrilled as I am and wonder what took you so long to purchase it in the first place. I am in the best shape of my life and cannot wait to get on this machine! Once you get it in your house and start working out on it, I am sure you will feel the same way.
